Year 2018 was warmest on record in most of parts in central Europe.

Slovakia - Year 2018 was mostly 1st warmest on record since observation began. It was 1st wasmest on record in lowlands and most of area, 2nd or 3rd warmest year in mountains.

Poland - average temperature 2018 was mostly warmest since observation begining.

France - warmest year since 1900, and years befor 1900 were colder.

Year 2018 Summary in Slovakia

In Slovakia - average temperature in year 2018 was from 1st to 3rd warmest since observations began. It was 1st warmest in lowlands and 3rd warmest year in mountains.

Warm half-year (April-September) was warmest on record in Czech Republic and Slovakia. There was record amount of Summer days (Tmax +25.0 °C and more) in Slovakia. Hurbanovo 131 summer days by Ogimet SYNOP. But near Gala or Hurbanovo in suth Slovakia, station Ziharec has at least 138 day with Tmax +25.0 °C and more (maybe 139 or 140 days). Record number of days with Tmax +30.0 °C and more was in year 2003. In Czech Republic - there was record of Summer days in Doksany - 114 days with Tmax +25.0 °C and more. Station Doksany made record of tropical days amount ith Tmax +30.0 °C and more - 51 days. Amateur station Kunovice in south-east Moravia has 119 days with Tmax +25.0 °C and more. In Czech - Prague Klementinum was highest average temperature since 1775 in year 2018 +12.8 °C. Highest average temperature in Slovakia in year 2018 was in Ziharec +13.0 °C (The same station has highest number of days with Tmax +25.0 °C and more).

Year 2018 in stations in Czech Republic

There are graphs with yearly Summary - monthly averages table on top - first row - average monthly temperature, second row - precipitation monthly, third row - average temperature deviation from normal 1981-2010, fourth row - percent of precipitation amount compared with normal 1981-2010. There are daily precipitation in graphs and average daily temperature, compared with daily normal 1981-2010. Average daily temperature is calculated as (T07+T14+T21+T21)/4, daily precipitaion are taken from 24 hours interval 06-06 UTC.

But I have got different values in my table calculator - 119 Summer days with Tmax +25 °C and more and 41 Tropical days with Tmax +30 °C and more. However record for Czech Republic officially from Czech hydrometeorological institute is from Doksany from year 18 -  114 Summer days with Tmax +25 °C and more and 5 Tropical days with Tmax +30 °C and more. Previous record for amount of tropical days was in Dobrichovice near Prague - 49 tropical days in year 2003.

Prague Libus 11520 - Aerological soundings - Temperature in 15 standard levels

Standards levels are 925 hPa, 850 hPa, 700 hPa, 500 hPa, 400 hPa, 300 hPa, 200 hPa, 150 hPa, 100 hPa, 70 hPa, 50 hPa, 30 hPa, 20 hPa, 10 hPa.

Aerological soundings in Praha Libus 11520 are usually 00 UTC 06 UTC and 12 UTC, three times per day, sounding at 18 UTC was canceled few years ago. It is 1095 soundings in 365 day. In some termins - data from some pressure levels can be missing, especially at 10 hPa. Levels 925 hPa a 850 hPa was warmest often at 18 UTC termin sounding.

Summer 2018 was super hot, however it was not reached +20 °C at 850 hPa (maximum at 850 hPa in year 2018 is  +19.6 °C, it could be reached +20 °C 18 UTC termin)

There can be missing data in some termins in some levels, especially in stratosphere, in very high levels, like 30 hPa, 20, hPa, 10 hPa. Most values are missing at 10 hPa. Wind direction at 10 hPa have not been get. There can be wrong values (format anomally - script takes neighbour column, etc.) Evidently bad values were removed.

Year 2018 - Aerological Soundings Praha Libus 11520 - sounding indicies (Every day 00 06 12 UTC, sounding termin 18 UTC was cancelled few years ago).
Graphs are from 1095 soundings in year 2018 - sounding indices through whole sounding (not one level, but whole collumm).

Some indicies can be missing in some sounding termins (Script took neighbour columm when data format anomally occurs). Evidently wrong values vere removed. Script does not identified right the columm Bulk Richardson Number.
